Salcedo Auctions Hosting Annual Special Benefit Auction on July 20

This coming 20th of July, Salcedo Auctions’ subsidiary brand, Gavel&Block along with their partner IWantToShare Foundation, will hold their special benefit auction for 2019.

This year’s auction will feature the works of established artists such as Ramon Orlina, Arturo Luz, Emmanuel Garibay, and so on. The proceeds from this event will be used to help chosen organizations in their projects.

Richie Lerma, the Director of Salcedo Auctions, shared that the auction is meant to raise funds and awareness, as well as “[it is also] to remind collectors of the transformative and life-changing powers of the arts.”

This annual benefit auction was established back in 2017 and they have been working with the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Department of Philippine General Hospital (PGH) since 2016. Their auction endeavors to help children with cancer with their medical needs through auction funds.

The President of IWantToShare Foundation, Sheila Bermudez-Romero, shares, “As we share the same values of determination, perseverance in achieving a goal, passion to help and of finding joy in service, we have become a channel of blessings and what we get back is truly priceless.” Their organization believes in leaving a legacy of giving back.

Last July 13, the auction pieces were showcased at NEX Tower of Ayala Avenue. From July 14 to July 20, the works of  Philippine masters and contemporary artists will also be on display.
