Sustainability 
Sustainability is now entering into homes both practically and in the form of décor. Many are now looking into investing in sustainable furnishing, as in locally produced with reusable materials. These items could include beautiful works created by locals, and/or pieces made from recycled items. 

Biophilia
Similar to the Sustainable trend, Biophilia is linked to the energy of preserving the earth. However, this is a more creative trend in which consists of furnishing that mimics some of nature’s greatest natural architecture. The basis of this trend is the use of earth tones, and sleek wooden furniture. You can add pieces of your own such as beautiful plants or investing in some bamboo furnishing. 

Dusty Rose Tones
Consider it Millennial Pink’s older, wiser and more sophisticated sister. As many Millennials are now moving onto the next stages of their life, this often means adding a bit of a grown up touches to their new homes. A dusty rose tone can add both a fun and elegant feel to anyone’s space. What makes this palette a bit more grown up is it’s pairing. Dusty Rose is often complimented with cool tones, such a cool grey or subtle navy. 

Floral Fabrics
Don’t panic! This isn’t a decorating style taken from your grandmother. Rather, think of it more of a take of what a French countryside farm would use as it’s beddings. When choosing floral fabrics, avoid the larger prints and instead go for fabrics that have smaller and daintier prints of flowers or plants. It’s best to keep it as simple and monotone as possible. 

Minimalism
What makes this a new ‘2019 trend’ is the practicality side of minimalism. When considering a minimalist space for your new home in 2019, colour schemes and layout are only a fraction of this particular décor. This involves being mindful of the items you want in your home.
