With the plethora of online services available, Philippine art is starting to make its stamp online. Last October 25, FilipinoArt.ph was launched and strives to make buying and selling Filipino-made art pieces simple and easy.

"FilipinoArt.ph takes away those boundaries by showcasing a whole lot more artists and offer prices for every Juan. And if an original piece of art is still inaccessible because of the price, we also offer prints via our partner, No Blank Walls; it’s a less expensive way of getting beautiful art into your home, office, or personal space,” said CEO and founder Yuri Stegeman in a statement.

This online avenue strives to put our local artists in the spotlight. Jose Ehric Egualada, an artist from Boracay Island, shares that, “Art in my region is extremely popular. Even though I live by the beaches of Boracay, I’ve been hoping that my art will be able to reach even the outskirts of Manila."

The website features paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media. The website also allows additional filters for the price range, subject, medium, and material, to help buyers find their perfect art piece.

Each entry includes information on the work’s artist name and location, the art work’s dimensions, and a short description. It also has a feature that allows you to view how the art piece looks in a digitally rendered room.
