Iloilo: Opens Citadines Amigo

Iloilo City -- Citadines Amigo by Capitaland and subsidiary The Ascott has just opened and is strategically located in the heart of the city.

According to their website, Citadines Amigo is a serviced residence that offers a modern apart’hotel that is surrounded by homegrown shops and restaurants providing guests with the convenience of immersing themselves with the local culture.

Famous tourist areas such as the Provincial Capitol, Museo Iloilo, and Casino Filipino Iloilo, and a few minutes drive away from tourist attractions such as Molo Church, Temple of Goddess Mother and Plaza Jaro. Paradise awaits travelers as beautiful island destinations such as Guimaras and Gigantes Islands are nearby the property.

This is the first international serviced residence in the city and it is aiming to attract travelers and long-staying businessmen. It currently has 121 available rooms, a fitness center, function rooms, swimming pool, and an all-day dining restaurant.

“We are on track to achieve Ascott’s target of 6,000 units in the Philippines by 2020, as we continue to expand through management contracts, franchises, investments and strategic alliances,”  said Daniel Wee, country general manager of The Ascott Limited Philippines, in a statement.

Currently, Ascott has 25 properties in the Philippines. Nine are operational while the rest are set to open soon.

Daniel Wee also added that Ascott has an average occupancy rate of close to 80% under its brands: Ascott, Citadines, and Somerset.

Citadines Amigo Iloilo is the second Citadins property outside of Manila. Other Citadines properties in the country include Citadines Salcedo Makati, Citadines Millennium Ortigas Manila, Citadines Bay City Manila, and Citadines Cebu City.
