Cop These Style Ideas From Your Fave Celebrities' Condo Homes

2019/03/05

Features of celebrity homes always draw so much attention as fans get to have an exclusive peek of their favorites' dwelling places, most of which tastefully decorated to reflect their respective styles. Indeed, our houses are oftentimes extensions of our personalities, and what better way to get to know more about a person—especially  an individual admired by many but can seem "unreachable" due to their success and stardom—than by taking a closer look at the place where they live?

Who knows, maybe we can gather inspiration from how they translated their qualities and quirks into their homes, and later use them as pegs when we design our future houses. And while styles of big celebrity mansions may seem overwhelmingly unattainable to follow, perhaps we can simply pick a few ideas and find a way to incorporate them into our humble abodes.

Over the years, however, our well-loved celebrities have followed the trend of moving into condo units in prime locations than staying in faraway subdivisions, for several reasons, including having better access to their commitments, professional or otherwise. Lucky for us, these considerably-sized spaces are easier to digest style-wise and so, we narrowed down tips we learned from how our three favorite stars designed their condo homes:

Anne Curtis: start with a theme and stick to its elements

Even with the long list of movie and television show characters under her belt (from action to horror to comedy and more) in her early thirties, Anne Curtis still has that sweet and charming vibe to her, as if she never graduated from her teenybopper stage. Anne's Makati sanctuary seems to be taken straight from the page of her fairytale-like life, exuding that rustic, romantic theme executed perfectly through the vintage furniture but with a bit of modern touch in the metallic pieces. Her dreamy four-poster bed plus neat and organized bookshelf (complete with mini ladder) makes us think she could actually be a real-life Disney princess.

KC Concepcion: create a space as wide as your travels

The Megastar's daughter had the walls of her three-bedroom condo unit in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig knocked down to create an open layout, somehow showing a seemingly-bigger space. This way, she has more room to fit her wanderlusting ways, including all her mementos from her travels abroad and trips to antique shops, together with inherited belongings from her grandmother. The changed layout also allowed KC to welcome several guests for get-togethers, especially in the common areas like the living and dining room where huge amounts of sunlight come through the huge windows.

Kris Aquino: be playful with bold and striking color combos

The Queen of All Media used to live in an exclusive high-rise residential building in Makati, sharing two adjacent units with her sons. Done with the help of interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario, every corner of Kris' former home showcased her lively and lovely personality through the eye-catching various prints and bright colors—even the furniture pieces had luxe fabrics. The pinks were dominant but the reds and purples seem to catch up.
