The “green office building” in Cebu City just recently topped off the first phase of Cebu Exchange by ArthaLand Corp.

Cebu Exchange is located at the Cebu IT Park and it is praised to be as the single largest green office building in the southern Philippines. It covers approximately 11 hectares of gross floor area.

In a statement by ArthaLand, they said they completed Cebu Exchange’s podium area which will feature retail outlets, and the low zone which has open areas of around 5,000 square meters per floor.

ArthaLand also said that Cebu Exchange “[w]as created to allow businesses to maximize operational efficiency, lower day-to-day costs, and provide a healthier, more comfortable and more productive work environment, thus making it one of the most sought-after business addresses in Cebu.”

ArthaLand has also partnered up with Colliers International Philippines, a global real estate services company, for the exclusive landlord representation services for Cebu Exchange.

“It is important for us that all aspects of our projects, such as Cebu Exchange, are executed seamlessly by a dedicated, integrated team of experts,” said Jaime C. González, vice chairman and president of ArthaLand. “With our aggressive target to create higher standards in the development and maintenance of sustainable and green buildings, we are confident that our partnership with Colliers International will help us achieve them.”

Cebu Exchange is registered with the Philippine Green Building Council and the US Green Building Council. It is also pre-certifies for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and is expected to earn the Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE) certification (SEE: ArthaLand: Pioneering Sustainable Development in Real Estate)

Cebu Exchange is ArthaLand’s flagship project outside Metro Manila. This P8-million project is meant to address the IT and business outsourcing (BPO) industry’s growing demand for quality space.
