You only need is patience and three other materials, namely: Elmer’s School Glue, Assorted Glitter, and Plastic Page Protector Sheets (or large plastic bags or sheets).

First you’re gonna use the glue to draw a large spider web on top of the plastic page protector. After that, you sprinkle glitter all over. Let it dry for approximately 16 to 20 hours before carefully removing the spider web from the plastic sheet. The center will likely still be wet, so flip the spider web over, and allow the remaining glue to dry for another 4 to 6 hours.

After waiting, voila! You’ve got yourself ready glitter spider webs to decorate your home.

If glitter isn’t your thing, you could also try making homemade glow in the dark slime

According to their website, it’s no problem to do. You will need:

  • Clear Glycerin Soap Base
  • Silicone Soap Mold
  • Plastic Spiders (use scissors to clip off the ring loop)
  • Soap Coloring (I used Lime Green and Lilac)
  • Fragrance Oil of Choice
  • 4-cup Pyrex Measuring Cup

I use about 1 lb (or half of the block) of soap base at a time which makes four large 4-ounce soaps. For these spider soaps I divided the block into half and made each half a different fragrance and color. I used blueberry fragrance oil for the purple soaps and pear fragrance for the green soaps, but you can use whatever scent and color combinations that you desire.

The block of glycerin soap base is soft, and it cuts easily with a kitchen knife. I slice the soap base into cubes, place them inside the 4-cup Pyrex measuring cup, and melt in the microwave. Melt in 20-30 second increments, stirring well after each microwave session, to ensure that the soap is completely melted. For 1 lb of soap, I generally microwave for 30 seconds, stir, microwave for another 30 seconds, stir again, and microwave a final time for 20 seconds.

When the soap is completely melted, stir in a few drops of soap color and fragrance oil.  Add a plastic spider to the soap molds.  Pour the melted soap into the molds, and allow to sit undisturbed until completely cool. Note: the cooling process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on temperature and humidity levels.

When the soap has cooled completely, pop it out of the molds, and enjoy!

If you’d rather make cookies, we also found an awesome Cyclops Crinkle Cookies recipe from TheAnthonyKitchen.com. You will need:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup confectioners powdered sugar
  • 2 1 ounce packages bloody candy eye decals

Preheat the oven to 325° and have ready a cookie sheet lined with either parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and sea salt. Set aside until ready to use.

Add the sugar and eggs to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, and mix on medium-high speed for 3-4 minutes, until pale yellow and noticeably thicker. If you do not have a stand mixer, use a large bowl and a handheld mixer. Reduce the speed of the mixer to low and add in the vanilla, followed by streaming in the melted and cooled butter.

With the mixer still on low, gradually add in the dry ingredients. Add the white chocolate chips and mix once more.  Have ready a small bowl of confectioners sugar. Scoop out 2 tablespoons worth of dough and roll into a ball.

Roll the dough ball in the powdered sugar and transfer to the baking sheet, placing each dough ball about 2" apart. Place a candy eye decal in the center of each dough ball and press gently to adhere. Bake for 13-15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
